Rationale

A 6/6 for 6 with two triggers: ETB deals 3 to each opponent and gains 3 life (mini-drain in multiplayer), and on death it replaces itself with a net +1 card (discard N, draw N+1), making it resilient to removal. Signature in sacrifice/aristocrats shells where the death trigger is reliably triggered; also fits midrange as a curve-topper that generates immediate value. At 6 CMC it's too slow for aggro and doesn't advance a dedicated combo plan.

Learnings (2)

  • The ETB drain effect scales well in multiplayer Commander — dealing 3 to each of 3 opponents is 9 total damage plus 3 life gained, effectively a 12-point life swing, but is only 3 damage to one opponent in Brawl, making the ETB much weaker in 1v1.

  • The death trigger's discard-then-draw effect is a loot (hand-smoothing), not pure card advantage in a vacuum — however, the net +1 card means it replaces itself even when removed, which is why it belongs in sacrifice shells that can trigger the death trigger on demand.
