Rationale

5cmc legendary enchantment with two abilities: ETB reanimates a creature from your graveyard with two +1/+1 counters, and whenever a legendary creature you control dies, it pings a target opponent for that creature's power. Signature in Rakdos reanimator (free reanimate on ETB), aristocrats (legendary-creature death payoff), and legendary-matters shells in BR. The damage trigger requires a density of legendary creatures dying, making it weaker in non-legendary-focused builds.

Learnings (3)

  • The ETB reanimate is unconditional — it returns any creature card from your graveyard, not just legendary ones, so it can cheat back large non-legendary threats even in a legendary-matters shell.

  • The death-trigger damage only targets 'target opponent,' not 'any target,' so it cannot ping creatures or planeswalkers — this significantly limits its utility beyond life-loss pressure.

  • Because the enchantment itself is legendary, running multiple copies is impossible; its power scales heavily with how many legendaries cycle through your graveyard, making it notably stronger in dedicated Rakdos legendary-matters or sacrifice-reanimator loops.
