Rationale

A 3cmc Aura that combines removal (exile a creature until Aura leaves), clone/copy (enchanted creature becomes a copy of the exiled creature), and ward {2} protection in one package. It's a strong value piece in aura-voltron and control shells where you can clone a bomb creature while removing an opposing threat; the LTB clause means any bounce or enchantment removal reunites the exiled creature and loses the copy effect, making the Aura a double-target for opponents.

Learnings (3)

  • Secret Invasion's exile is 'until this Aura leaves the battlefield,' so if Secret Invasion is bounced or destroyed, the exiled creature returns immediately AND the enchanted creature loses the copy — opponents get two benefits from a single removal spell.

  • Because the enchanted creature becomes a copy of the exiled creature (not a token), any base-power/toughness-setting effects on the enchanted creature are overwritten; however ward {2} is granted on top of the copy, so the creature retains that protection.

  • This card can be used politically or offensively: enchanting your own creature to clone an opponent's bomb while effectively exiling that threat for as long as the Aura remains is a strong tempo play, but it telegraphs your enchanted creature as a must-kill target.
