Signature in legendary-matters and midrange shells where deathtouch turns every attacker into a combat deterrent and the card draw engine rewards aggressive legendary creatures connecting. Struggles in tokens-go-wide (tokens are rarely legendary) and spellslinger (no relevant synergy). In Brawl, the commander is always legendary, making the draw trigger almost guaranteed each turn.

• The ETB deathtouch counter applies to ALL creatures you control, not just legendary ones — this can make a wide board of non-legendary creatures into combat threats even though the draw trigger only fires for legendary creatures.
