Rationale
8cmc sorcery with double cascade — cascades twice into two free spells, then deals damage to each opponent's creature equal to total mana value of other spells cast this turn. The double cascade guarantees two free hits from your library, but the damage payoff is build-around: it only boards-wipes meaningfully if you've cast several high-MV spells or cascade hits stack up the same turn. Signature in storm/spellslinger shells that can accumulate spell MV quickly; a weak draw in isolation at 8 mana with no immediate board impact if you haven't cast other spells.
Learnings (3)
The damage counts total mana value of OTHER spells cast this turn — the double-cascade spells you hit for free also contribute their MV to the damage, often enabling the board-wipe without any pre-existing spell chain.

Double cascade on an 8-mana spell means both cascades look for anything with MV ≤ 7; in a tuned spellslinger deck this virtually guarantees two high-impact free spells, making the real cost closer to 8 mana for three spells worth of value.

Because cascade triggers are cast events, if both cascade hits have their own cascade or other 'cast' triggers, those resolve too — this card can unexpectedly chain deep in cascade-matters or spellslinger-trigger decks.
