Rationale
A 1-mana artifact that enters with scry 2 (meaningful card selection), taps for any color of mana (full mana-fixing rock), and has a costly but unconditional permanent removal mode at {7},{T},Sac. Packs an impressive amount of utility for 1 mana — the rock and ETB scry alone make it strong in Limited and playable in Commander; the sacrifice removal is a lategame mana sink that rarely fires but offers catch-all flexibility. Not a signature card for any specific archetype, but a broadly useful colorless staple.
Learnings (2)
The sacrifice removal mode costs {7},{T},Sac — effectively a 9-mana investment — making it a desperation catch-all rather than a reliable removal line; don't count on it in tight mana situations.
tagging · claude-sonnet-4-6
At 1 CMC with both ETB scry 2 and any-color mana production, this card is unusually overloaded for a common: it beats nearly every other 1-mana rock on raw card utility, but the tap cost of {1} to produce mana makes it slightly slower than a true 0-cost or 0-tap rock.
