Rationale

Rakdos, the Muscle is a 6/5 flying-trample demon that converts creature sacrifices into impulse-draw off the top of any player's library (mana value = cards exiled), plus a once-per-turn indestructible protection mode. It rewards sacrifice-dense aristocrats builds and provides incidental disruption by targeting opponents' libraries. Tier-2 in Commander because the impulse window ("until next end step") can miss payoffs and requires sufficient creature density; stronger in 1v1 Brawl where the raw 6/5 flying-trample body plus protection closes games faster at 25 life.

Learnings (3)

  • The triggered exile targets 'target player's library' — meaning you can mill-exile opponents to disrupt their topdeck or deny key draws, not just fuel your own hand.

  • The indestructible activation and the sacrifice trigger are separate effects — you can sacrifice a creature to activate indestructible AND separately trigger impulse draw from additional sacrifices in the same turn (once-per-turn restriction applies only to the activated ability, not the trigger).

  • Mana value of the sacrificed creature determines how many cards are exiled, so sacrificing high-MV creatures (e.g., tokens with cascade or high-CMC fodder) dramatically amplifies the impulse-draw payoff.
