Rationale
A 3-mana artifact that taps for one mana of any color and untaps during each other player's untap step — effectively producing mana on each opponent's turn as well as your own. In a 4-player Commander game this can tap up to 3 additional times per round, making it a surprisingly productive mana rock in multiplayer; in 1v1 Brawl or Limited it untaps only once extra, making it closer to a middling 3-mana rock. It's strictly colorless to cast, fits any deck, and offers excellent mana fixing, but 3 mana for what is usually a tap-for-one rock is below the efficiency bar for high-power Commander where Arcane Signet and Sol Ring dominate.
Learnings (2)
In multiplayer Commander (3 opponents), this artifact untaps three extra times per round — once on each opponent's untap step — potentially producing 4 mana per round total, which greatly exceeds its 3-mana investment over a long game.
tagging · claude-sonnet-4-6
The untap trigger fires during each OTHER player's untap step, meaning you can hold up interaction mana on opponents' turns, making it more of a reactive mana rock than most.
