2cmc black instant that deals X damage to target creature or planeswalker and you gain X life, where X = Swamps controlled. Conditional removal that scales with black mana base density. Signature in midrange/control shells with heavy Swamp commitments (likely mono-black), but requires land density and limited scaling outside mono-black heavy strategies. Negative in aggro/burn: too slow (conditional ramp-up, sorcery-speed equivalent), and off-curve removal cost for tempo-centric decks.
