1cmc 1/2 green mana dork — taps for {C} freely, or taps for any color specifically to cast legendary spells, which also can't be countered. Signature in legendary-matters shells where it accelerates AND protects the commander or key legendary permanents from counterspells. The counter-protection clause is uniquely valuable in competitive/tuned play for landing critical legendary threats through blue interaction.
