Rationale
Jecht is a 4cmc 4/3 menace that transforms into a 7/7 Saga Nightmare on combat damage, providing two rounds of symmetrical card-draw-plus-discard followed by a devastating mass edict. The front face is already a solid threat that pressures opponents into chump-blocking; the back face generates compounding card advantage through Jecht Beam and closes the game with a two-creature edict from each opponent at Chapter III. The combination of evasion (menace), self-transformation trigger, hand disruption, and a board-clearing payoff makes this card excellent across control, midrange, and sacrifice shells.
Learnings (3)
Braska's Final Aeon is simultaneously a Saga and a creature — it adds lore counters after each draw step, meaning it takes 2-3 turns to resolve unless you have Saga acceleration; opponents have a window to interact before Chapter III triggers.

The transform trigger on Jecht requires dealing combat damage to a player, so opponents are incentivized to block or use removal before the flip; piloting Jecht into a contested board often requires protecting it through equipment or evasion tricks.

Chapter III's 'sacrifices two creatures of their choice' is an edict effect, not targeted removal — opponents keep their best two creatures if they have three or more, so the impact diminishes on wide boards.
