Rationale

Lilah is a 3cmc prowess threat that recycles multicolored instants/sorceries by plotting them — effectively granting free replays of your best spells on later turns. She's a signature spellslinger/prowess commander in Izzet, turning multicolored spell chains into a growing threat with banked free casts; particularly potent in Brawl's 1v1 environment where tempo swings close games quickly. The "from your hand" restriction and multicolored requirement mean she rewards careful deck construction but doesn't translate well outside dedicated spell-heavy shells.

Learnings (3)

  • Lilah's plot trigger only fires on multicolored instants/sorceries cast FROM YOUR HAND — replaying already-plotted spells (cast without paying mana cost) does not retrigger the plotting, preventing infinite loops.

  • The replacement effect exiles the spell instead of putting it in the graveyard, so graveyard-recursion engines (Snapcaster Mage, Underworld Breach) cannot interact with those exiled spells until they are cast from plot exile.

  • Prowess and the plot trigger are both relevant for multicolored spells but are independent — even monocolor noncreature spells pump Lilah, while only multicolored instants/sorceries get plotted.
